Our Purpose and Mission
PIR partners with God and the church to provide a proven process to restore hope to at-risk and exited pastors.
PIR is founded on the following principles:
- We partner with God
Only God can bring restoration and comfort out of the turmoil of a forced exit in ministry.
- We partner with the Church
The church is God's instrument for fellowship, accountability, and restoration.
- We value a proven process
The PIR process:
- Encourages and supports Christian pastors and their families in the vocational transitions of their lives.
- Provides spiritual and emotional support and networks exited pastors with safe house churches.
- Provides opportunities to resolve conflict for possible reentry into ministry.
- Provides an assessment tool for understanding God's handiwork in creating an individual's passions, skills, and style (manner in which a person's passions and skills come across to others).
- We value the redemptive quality of pain
Pain is too valuable to waste. When it is handled in a godly manner pain provides a deeper understanding of God, His care and His plan. It equips a pastor for greater effectiveness in ministering to those he serves.
